Mauricio will be speaking to us about Communion, one of Jesus’ last acts with His disciples, before He went to the cross. It’s really interesting hearing about the Passover from the Jewish perspective. It really puts the last supper and Jesus’ sacrifice into a whole new light. So please enjoy this message from Mauricio Toro.

Victor said towards the end of his message that we love to hear the stories of God changing people and countries, but often we don’t think about the cost of it all. You see, without a cost being paid nothing will happen. Salvation was one of the greatest miracles of the Bible and it cost Jesus everything.
Sometimes it’s easy to say to people put your hope in God. But are we willing to step in and be the hope that people need? We have to buy into this and invest our lives. The world doesn’t need cute sayings, it needs action.

We are excited to introduce you to our new pastor, Pastor Kris Palmer. Here’s a little bit about him.
As the President of Heartland Christian College, Kris has been serving in a leadership role at Heartland for many years alongside Pastor Charles Sharpe and other team members. Pastor Kris will continue in his role as President of the College.
Pastor Kris and his wife, Martha, have made their home at Heartland since 2002. Martha is the Academic Dean of Heartland Christian College. Kris is a graduate of Atlanta High School, Truman State University, Liberty University, and is currently a doctoral candidate at Lancaster Bible College in Pennsylvania. The Palmers are parents of four grown children and have eight grandchildren. Several members of their family are part of the Heartland community and church. Kris’ father, James Palmer, has been a minister in this area for many years and is one of his strongest supporters in the church.
Today we will be sharing with you Pastor Kris’s Ordination. It coincided with our annual Missions Conference, so we’re going to share a special video made for that conference and worship with our high school band performing. Then, you’ll hear from our Missions Director, Dave Barton and Laurie Sharpe, Pastor Charlie’s wife, who will share a bit about the future of Heartland and the transition of leadership. Finally, Victor Pavlovski, who is a good friend of ours and has set hundreds of Pastors in Churches, he will come and perform the ordination.
