What do you think when you hear the word Authority? Our culture today has given us the wrong perspective on what authority is. We often think of people who just want power and control, but actually God put authorities over us to give us freedom. Weird right? We can have more freedom when we submit to our authority because they are placed there by God. When you rebel against authority you become miserable, and your freedoms reduce.

Be sure to come back next week for the second half of this message. And don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, we’ll be sure to put lots of great content in your feed.

Peter gave us a list of virtues that we should hold to in order to build the Church. We must treat each other with love and honesty, live right and seek peace. When we live lives like that God hears our prayers and we set ourselves up to hear His voice.

If you remember our show last week we talked about Remembering what God has done for us. Today we learned to proclaim the Glory and Grace of God. We proclaim that God snatched us from the grips of the devil, and told the devil that we are His children. So the next time you take communion, Remember and don’t be afraid to Proclaim.

Thanks so much for joining us. We’ll see you back here next week on Straight From The Heart.

It was during the Passover celebration, the day remembered when God brought the Israelites out of Egypt, that Jesus gave us communion. Passover was a fitting foreshadow for what Jesus was about to do for us. His blood would be poured out so that God’s judgment would passover us. So when we take communion we remember what Jesus did for us and the rich history of redemption God has left for us.

Thanks for joining us be sure to come back next week for the second half of this message on Remember and Proclaim.

Here are some things to remember:
Use the gifts of the spirit to serve one another and build each other up.

Don’t miss out on the fullness of God by avoiding the Holy Spirit. Specifically Prophecy and speaking in tongues. Pastor Kris had a lot of great things to say about this and gave us a very clear picture of how that is to work in the Church. I’d also encourage you if you’re a little confused still to have a chat with your local Pastor.

If you need to watch it again and take some notes, go to hland.tv and look for TV Episodes.

Thanks for watching and come back next week.
